Christina Aguilera Set to Perform on 'American Idol' Finale

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Gearing up for the release of her new album "Bionic", Christina Aguilera is filling her schedule with one TV performance after another. After securing a slot at the forthcoming "TODAY" summer concert series and on "The Oprah Winfrey

Show", the 29-year-old songstress has apparently landed a gig on "American Idol" finale.

The announcement on Twitter read, "We've reached over 19,000 followers and this just in, Christina Aguilera will be performing on the American Idol finale!" The "Candyman" singer is, thus, expected to take the stage in May. Though so, it isn't unclear whether she will be performing her new album's lead single "Not Myself Tonight".

Christina will fill a half-hour slot at the "TODAY" summer concert on June 8, the same day her album is scheduled for its U.S. release. A month prior on May 4, she is expected to tape a performance in Los Angeles for "VH1 Storytellers". She will head to New York City on May 7 to tape her performance for an episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show".
